The FooBirds Experience was born out of the frustration of the Covid-19 pandemic, spoiling our favorite activity: Traveling! Our entire team have spent most of their lives traveling the globe experiencing new ideas, cultures, food and wildlife.

But when the Covid-19 pandemic happened in early 2020, countries went into lock-downs and travel was drastically curtailed. All of a sudden, traveling and exploring other parts of the world became nearly impossible. As a result, the OnionWorx team turned to the world of Google's Street View and the more than 12 million miles of roads, and countless panoramas that can be explored in this virtual environment from the safety and comfort of our own living rooms.

But the world seemed less exciting without the vast numbers of fish, birds and beasts that occupy every corner of the globe, no matter how remote. So the team decided to populate the Street View universe with virtual wildlife, and the magic of exotic, wildlife that was native to certain locations returned.

Just like animals in the real world, some FooBirds are common and can be found all over the Street View world. Others only occupy small regions or niche areas. Some are discovered where the snow never melts, while others will do everything possible to avoid cold climates altogether. If you are trying to catch sight of all of the species of FooBirds, you will have to keep an eye on the environments you are in, and which ones you will need to explore to find the rarest FooBirds.

You will have to move quietly, be patient, and offer the FooBirds treats and small presents. But if you befriend a FooBird, it will remain loyal to you as long as it is treated with respect. How many can you discover? Better yet... How many can you tame?
